I was born in Minot, North Dakota on November 13, 1964.
My dad, who enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during WWII, placed a high value on education, and always encouraged his three sons and three daughters to do their very best at whatever we did.

From age one to nine I lived in Guam, a small island in the Western Pacific.
Guam is an idyllic place, where family, celebrations, and a slower pace of living are part of the local customs.
